Playbook
Playbook
The "playbook" to enlightened performance requires following a very precise level of doing and being. There are many pieces that must come together in the same instance within yourself to be in that zone. An elite athlete has to have these parts; Drive, Practice, Athleticism, Physical Training, Coaching, Confidence, Skill-set, Will, Love, Competitor, Talent, Mind, Competitiveness, Time, Space and more, they must work together to see beyond what others see. Missing any one of these and the "zone" will not be present in you.. And so you struggle and force things in your performance, it may still turn out for you such as winning your game or match, but that is the only thing you get from it. Do not waste these intense moments in your life when you are performing your sport for it holds much more than a win or loss.
Clarity within an athlete cuts through the "mind chatter" that slows you down and prevents the flow of your game. Those who want more out of the experience and results will come to see that working with me will speed the process of trying to find it on your own. This playbook that I created has been developed over 11 years.
“The “zone” is a blending of inner and outer space, time and no time, results and no results, selfish and not selfish, effort and no effort all happening at the same instance, ultimate freedom. How to do this requires going into a reality where it exists.”
Playing in the Zone
Playing in the Zone
““It’s hard to get to that place... But once you get there, it becomes a matter of understanding that you’re there, you accept that you’re there but you don’t try to realize that you’re there... It’s a very tough balance because any moment can take you out of that zone, that flow where nothing else matters— Nothing else is important other than what I am doing at this moment in time. And it’s a beautiful feeling.”
Walking Somewhere, Going Nowhere
Walking Somewhere, Going Nowhere
I have many teaching tools, one is where I have you walk somewhere but go nowhere. It helps you see different levels of now within you, shifting your "mindset" in how your body to mind work together. You begin to naturally see changes to your athletic performance because you start seeing the smallest parts and the biggest parts that make up that reality. Slowing it down, accessing realities that before you could not see, playing in the flow of life and loving the sport in a way that transcends who you are and those around you.
If your team resides within you then you are truly beginning to "bring the world" inside. You are now living in the zone and your presence begins to get felt through others. You are now in the place to bring your teammates into this place of playing as a team in the zone.
